About

In my latest series of paintings, drawings and painting inspired sculptures, I explore the figure of the contemporary man—this contemplative being, suspended between weariness and the desire to escape. My characters seem to dream of a horizon beyond the ordinary, a mental territory that might allow them to elude the crushing weight of everyday life, junk food, automatisms, and routines that numb their vital impulse.

The men I paint are weary, sometimes petrified in their professional suits, frozen within a social role they no longer have the strength to inhabit. I portray them without masks, stripped of their usual artifices: no social armor, no concrete shell. In this vulnerability, they reveal a fragile, essential truth.
